Whether you’re announcing a bold move, stepping on stage to give a keynote, or launching a new strategy, people are looking at you for direction. And youâve given good talks before.
But this time good isnât enough.
They need to get it.
They need to feel it.
They need to act on it.
Thatâs the bar now.
Is your talk ready for that?
Talk Lab is an intensive hands-on session where we work on your message. No templates, no pre-made solutions, but 100% dedication to what your message needs to land with your audience. In 4-hours we will both get our hands dirty to uncover the core of what you are really trying to say and how to best say it. Where others focus on polish, we care about impact.
Together, weâll make your talk:
âïž Sharper
âïž Bolder
âïž Impossible to misunderstand
âïž Easy to pass along
âïž Compelling people to act
You see it in their eyes.
You hear it in the sudden silence.
You feel the room shift.
Because this time, your audience is not just listening politely.
Theyâre with you.
Talk Lab is an investment of 2,500âŻUSD. Many of my clients tell me this single session changed how they communicate forever and most of them make it back with a single deal.
Youâve done the thinking.
Letâs shape your message to give it the impact it deserves.
Q: Is this for keynotes or other types of communication?
A: This is for any spotlight moment where good enough is not enough. For example a keynote, a product launch, the announcement of a company merger, your new positioning etc. That is when a Talk Lab helps you get the message exactly right and turn it into an irresistible story.
Q: Can my partner/executive team/etc attend together, or is this strictly one-on-one?Â
A: Itâs fine for you to bring a group.
Q: Is it online or can we meet in person?
A: Itâs usually online. But in some cases it can make sense to meet in person. Note that this might cause additional costs.
Q: Does it have to be 4 hours?
A: Weâll reserve 4 hours but actually, itâs often shorter. Long answer: My promise is that weâll work as long as it takes. On my personal calendar, Iâll even block more than 4 hours in case we need it (which, until now, never happened). In fact, most sessions last 2-3 hours. Thatâs how long it usually takes to arrive at the clarity my clients are looking for.
Q: Will the session be recorded?
A: Yes, Iâll provide a recording and transcript after the call (unless you specifically ask me to not record).
Q: Do I need to have a slide deck ready to show you?
A: No, itâs actually better if you donât have slides yet.
Q: Will you help me put my slides together?
A: Iâm happy to review them, but Iâm not a slide designer. Once we clarify your message, the slides will be the easy part and I can refer you to great copywriters and designers.
Q: What if we donât clarify the message in the session?
A: If we havenât clarified the message by the end of the call, Iâll refund your money in full.
Q: What if I donât know what my core message is yet, will the session still be effective?
A: Absolutely. If youâre passionate about your story, weâll figure your core message out in the session. In fact, even if people have a âcore messageâ beforehand, it often turns out that we find a stronger one in the session.
Q: What if I have questions after the session?
A: You can email me for 2 weeks after the session with any questions that might come up. If itâs a long answer, we can schedule a 15-30 minute follow-up call.
Talk Lab is the best fit for people who know they have to nail their message for a high-stakes presentation, announcement, or meeting. They know they are good but want to become stellar. They recognize extraordinary when they see it, but arenât sure how to get there on their own. They are extremely passionate and know they might be sharing too much and need to find that focal point that deeply resonates with their audience.
Talk Lab is not for someone who wants a template or a quick fix. If you want me to âjust tell me what to say!â it wonât work. You bring the passion and the expertise, and I will help you amplify it. The price is that youâll have a deep understanding of your message and can spontaneously tell your story in conversations, interviews, on a stage or on video.
I work with leaders and their teams to create meaningful impact. What I do is simple: I help you find the right words. Time and again, this turns out to be transformative to the way my clients speak, act, and lead. Iâd be honored to make that happen for you, too.

âYour clarity of thought has been invaluable. I am using this daily in my work in the world right now in this public health crisis.â
â Kathy Lemaire, Consultant for Organizational Excellence
âWe just had too many words.
Too much going on. Too abstract.
We were way too deep in our own stuff.
Then I read Michaelâs book and thought, yep, thatâs exactly what we need. So I called him.
What really got me was how simple it all was.
Just a room. Good coffee. A pen. A few sticky notes.
And Michael was so calm and focused and asking the kind of questions that stop you in your tracks.
âWhat do you actually care about?â
âWhat exactly do you want?â
No overcomplicated methods. No corporate fluff. Just straight to the core.
And suddenly we had words weâd never have found on our own.
Not because weâre not capable, but because we were too close. Too caught up in the details.
Now weâve got a message that actually lands. That connects.
And I know itâs going to bring in clients who wouldnât have seen us before.
If youâre sitting there, spinning in circles with your team, trying to get the message right: Stop! Just talk to him.
Itâs a total game-changer.â
â Andreas Gaertner, Founder & CEO of Aim & Ink
âOnce again, heartfelt thanks for the wonderful support â itâs always a pleasure working with you and shaping my own thoughts into a compelling structure.â
â Regina Schumacher, Career Coach
âI am not sure how you crawl into these ideas so quickly, assess them so clearly and then make such helpful summative comments considering an arsenal of factors in such record time.â
â Anna Kohler Smith
âMichael was outstanding. Authentic, clear, and highly inspiring. He focused on what really matters in a presentation, using strong, practical examples and a streamlined take on classic storytelling that fits perfectly into our business.
The session was one of the best Iâve ever experienced: well-structured, relevant, and straight to the point.
His tips were clear, hands-on, and immediately applicable. You could tell he practiced what he preached.
His pace and clarity made it super easy for us. Everyone should have the chance to experience this. Itâs so good.â
â Markus Schmitz, Head of Marketing
âThanks again for the session. We all agreed it was incredibly valuable and moved us forward in a big way.â
â Olivia P., Head of Internal Comms
âI was reflecting on our coaching session from (5? 6?) years ago. Back then, I came to you because I was feeling a bit frustrated: I received positive feedback on my presentations, but nobody really remembered what I had said. Last Thursday, I gave the keynote at âŒïž âŒïž âŒïž âŒïž âŒïž , and Iâm overwhelmed by how many people started discussions with me afterward, how many are quoting me or mentioning me in their posts.
Of course, Iâve put in a lot of work and reflection over the years to improve. But without a doubt, a turning point and a true key moment came from you during those three hours of coaching. Simplifying the message, giving it structure, starting with a story, and more. This is probably the 10th time Iâve thanked you for this. But please take it as a genuine and heartfelt expression of my gratitude.â
â Richard Bretschneider, Head of Experience Strategy & Partnerships at MAI eresult
âI’m so glad the universe sent me your way đ
Your coaching yesterday was incredibly eye-opening, and as I reflected afterward, I suddenly felt a real sense of clarity and confidence đ
Thank you for being you and for your unique way of getting straight to the heart of things. đâ
â Gudrun Schönhofer, Keynote Speaker
âWe were struggling to communicate a complex product. Our cloud-based DMS solution is powerful, versatile, and incredibly secure but explaining its value clearly was a real challenge. We had too many messages and too much jargon.
Thatâs when we brought in Dr. Gerharz.
He guided our internal process and helped us find words that actually made sense to the people we want to reach. Heâs a sharp listener and a steady guide. With his help, we aligned our language, cut the clutter, and focused on what really matters.
The result? Our marketing now runs smoother. Internal alignment is better. Different teams work from the same foundation. And weâve seen real business impact: more customers are signing up directly through the website, no sales call needed. Clearer communication helped make that possible.
If your product is complex and you want people to get it, even without deep technical knowledge, Michael is the person to talk to.
Would we do it again? Absolutely.â
â Michael Rosbach, Co-Founder CenterDevice
