Welcome back to “Irresistible Communication”.
2
:Two minutes, twice a week.
3
:No nonsense advice on
leadership communication.
4
:What do you want to be known for?
5
:You won't believe how many
businesses don't have a compelling
6
:answer to that simple question.
7
:And yet, every action they
take contributes to their fame.
8
:Every product they release, every
keynote their CEO gives, every post they
9
:publish, every sales presentation they
make, every call to customer support,
10
:every mail, proposal, conversation.
11
:If these actions are inconsistent,
the story of that business
12
:will be fuzzy at best.
13
:That's where marketing comes in.
14
:Huge budgets are allocated
to create a public image.
15
:Agencies come up with something
that sounds good and looks good.
16
:But more often than not, that image
doesn't match what customers experience
17
:when they reach out, use the product or
are otherwise exposed to the business.
18
:What do you want to be known for?
19
:If you don't decide someone else will.
20
:The biggest lever to own what
the public thinks of you is to
21
:find clarity about that yourself.
22
:Uncover three basic questions.
23
:First, what you're incredibly good at.
24
:Second, what you're passionate about.
25
:And third, what makes you a profit?
26
:Based on those answers define
what you want to be known for.
27
:And the shorter you can make
that answer the better for
28
:your comunication it will be.
29
:And then light the path
for the whole team.
30
:When the path is lit brightly, and ideally
it aligns to what the team aspires to,
31
:you can trust them to do the right thing.
32
:Their actions will be
aligned with the path.
33
:And so, every action anyone in
your business takes contributes to
34
:becoming known for the right thing.
35
:Keep lighting the path and
