There are good leaders and there are bad leaders and I'm sure you can name
Speaker:a bunch of names in either category.
Speaker:The thing that's easily overlooked is that good leaders aren't just better
Speaker:than bad leaders, but that both sit on opposite sides of a spectrum.
Speaker:It's not that bad leaders are similar to good leaders, just
Speaker:not as good or less effective.
Speaker:Bad leaders are the opposite of good leaders.
Speaker:They can destroy the morale of a team and frustrate the members to
Speaker:a degree that leads to struggles and fights, greed and envy.
Speaker:Good leaders don't do things similarly to bad leaders, just better.
Speaker:They do things differently.
Speaker:Here's the pitfall because there's one thing that both
Speaker:kinds of leaders have in common.
Speaker:Both lead by example, by the things they do and in the way they communicate.
Speaker:Leaders make or break a team.
Speaker:The important thing to see is that that's a decision.
Speaker:You decide what kind of leader you want to be.
Speaker:And then, when you have clarity about your vision of leadership, it
Speaker:becomes a skill that you can improve.
