For most people, passion is not something that just comes along and says: “Hello!”
Speaker:It's not something you wait for and suddenly it's there and you're going
Speaker:to lead a fulfilled life ever after.
Speaker:Passion is usually a process.
Speaker:You become passionate about something because you do this thing.
Speaker:Learn more about it.
Speaker:Share what you've learned with others.
Speaker:Dig deeper.
Speaker:Discover something others haven't discovered.
Speaker:And then get frustrated with it.
Speaker:Pick it up again.
Speaker:Discover yet another new corner you haven't explored.
Speaker:And so on and so forth.
Speaker:The more this thing becomes a part of your life, the more passionate you become.
Speaker:There are actually very few people like filmmaker Werner Herzog who
Speaker:calls filmmaking an uninvited duty that gave him no choice other than
Speaker:to become passionate about it.
Speaker:For most people, passion grows out of curiosity and play.
Speaker:If it doesn't, then change your thing.
Speaker:Or two.
Speaker:And watch what happens.
Speaker:And then repeat.
Speaker:But having said that, keep in mind that there is no law of nature that requires
Speaker:you to have a passion as strong as music was a passion for Mozart or football is
Speaker:a passion for Messi, even if motivational coaches try to make us believe otherwise.
Speaker:If you don't have that passion, you still have a life.
Speaker:And that is quite something.
